One US psychic-letter mail fraud operation ran from 1994 to November 2014, sending near-identical letters claiming a personal vision about the recipient to tens of thousands of people a week.
Nobody moderates an envelope: there is no platform, host or spam filter, so the case came from postal inspectors. The operator was arrested in Ibiza in December 2018, extradited two years later and convicted in June 2023.
