Reporting a scam in Netherlands

First hour, in order

  1. Call your bank. Call your bank, then report to the Fraudehelpdesk and the police.
  2. Stop paying. No fee, tax or "release payment" ever unlocks money that does not exist.
  3. Screenshot everything before you delete an app, block a number or close an account.
  4. Then report using the routes below. Reporting is slower than the bank call, and less urgent — but it is what produces enforcement.

The Fraudehelpdesk is the Dutch national reporting point for fraud, and it will tell you whether what happened to you is a police matter. Report to the police as well if money was taken.
