Reporting a scam in Poland

First hour, in order

  1. Call your bank. Call your bank at once, using the number on your card or the bank's own website, and ask it to block the payment.
  2. Stop paying. No fee, tax or "release payment" ever unlocks money that does not exist.
  3. Screenshot everything before you delete an app, block a number or close an account.
  4. Then report using the routes below. Reporting is slower than the bank call, and less urgent, but it is what produces enforcement.

Poland does not appear to have one dedicated scam-reporting agency for the public. The most direct online route we could verify is CERT Polska, the national incident-response team inside NASK, which takes reports at incydent.cert.pl and publishes guidance on phishing and fake investments. Fraud is also a crime, so it can be reported to the police (997 is the police number shown on policja.pl), and the police run a dedicated cybercrime bureau, the CBZC.

If you were pitched an investment, the financial regulator KNF publishes public warnings about unauthorised entities, and UOKiK handles consumer-protection issues. We did not find a verified dedicated fraud hotline, and the phone numbers above are general switchboards. Most of these services are in Polish and designed for residents, so a victim abroad should also report through their own country’s fraud channel.
