$17,000paid by undercover agents for one fake RN diploma

Undercover federal agents paid $17,000 for a single fraudulent registered-nurse diploma while investigating Florida's nursing diploma mill scheme known as Operation Nightingale.

This is one of several fabricated-credential sales documented in the case, which the Justice Department says led to 25 people being charged on January 25, 2023, and a December 2023 jury conviction of three school and recruiting operators.
