$300,000allegedly stolen from a single client by a father-and-son 'finder' business
A father and son running a California 'unclaimed property' finder business are accused of stealing as much as $300,000 from a single client, and $1.6 million overall, before being criminally charged.
The California Attorney General's office alleges Thomas and Dustin Rodine forged documents to redirect money their own clients had hired them to recover. Neither has been reported convicted or sentenced; both are presumed innocent unless a court finds otherwise.
