$1.25 millionone celebrity endorser's FTC settlement, a first of its kind
The FTC's settlements of $1.25 million and $450,000 with two celebrity endorsers of real estate training programs were its first monetary settlements with celebrity endorsers.
The court had earlier found many of the company's claims false or misleading. The endorsers agreed to pay without admitting or denying the FTC's allegations.
